Anglers Quest 2012 Houston Tuesday Series Championship is now in the books, and the Tuesday Series for Lake Houston is complete for 2012. The event began on Friday evening at Lake Houston Marina Pavilion with the presentation of the special " Anglers Quest Goal Posts" to the repeat winners for "2012 Anglers of the Year", Albert White & Chris DiBerardino, they will receive free paid entries to all A/Q Houston Tuesday Series Events in 2013. The Side Pot followed and raised $2475.00 to add to the anglers pot.

The weather was cloudy and very nice on Saturday & Sunday with mid 60’s at daybreak to low 80’s during the day with a light southerly breeze for the event on Lake Houston. As the event got underway with the 13 qualified teams taking off into the dim morning light from Lake Houston Marina at 6:40 am. The anglers were all going for the $6970.00 purse that was the payback by Anglers Quest at this Championship event. The water at Lake Houston was at approximately normal pool level. At the end of day 1 the 13 teams brought in 11 limits of bass, 62 fish that totaled 141.39 lbs with a 2.28 avg. At the end of day 2 the 13 teams brought in 20 limits of bass, 118 bass that totaled 272.31 lbs with a 2.30 avg.

After the 2 full days of competition the team of David Wheaton & Tansley Bynog Sr ran David’s Gambler/Mercury to the North lake creeks and had the 1st Big Bass of the event at 4.44 lbs and also had 24.34 lbs to garner 4th place and take home $650.00 for their day on the water.

The husband & wife team of David & Candice Marlow from Lynchburg, Tx ran their bass rig to the E. Fork & Luces Bayou areas both days and brought in 10 bass at 26.31 lbs to claim 3rd place and 2nd Big Bass at 4.13 lbs to collect $860.00 for their day on the water.

Jason Reyes from Huffman, Tx & Waylon Hull from Humble, Tx ran Jason’s Ranger/Yamaha to north lake areas and brought in 10 bass at 28.76 lbs to claim 2nd place and $1640.00.

The team of Ricky Guy from Humble, Tx & Larry Cotten from Huffman, Tx ran Larry’s Skeeter/Yamaha bass rig to the East Fork area of the lake to bring in 10 bass at 28.99 lbs and claimed 1st place and $3685.00. They reported catching their bass on tx rigged brush hogs and throwing Santone buzz & spinner baits...not bad for a couple days of fishin, Good Job Guys!!

Anglers Quest 2013 Schedules are now available online at www.anglers-quest.com. The 1st events for the 2013 season will be the Saturday Series Team event on Sam Rayburn, January 5, & the Individual event on January 6, 2013. Entry and sign up can be done by phone by credit card or at the Anglers Quest bus the morning of the event at The Umphrey Pavilion. For any info contact Mr Bill at 281-852-8842.
