(Jun. 11, 2012 - Lake Livingston Onalaska, Tx)...

Anglers Quest 2012 Livingston Saturday Series #6 out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, Tx began this event with 60 teamed anglers showing up to fish for the $3910.00 purse. Any team entering 6 of the 8 of Livingston Saturday Series events will automatically qualify for the 2-day Livingston Championship. The top team in points after all 8 events will be declared the Team Anglers of the Year and will be awarded free entries to all 2013 Livingston Saturday Series events. The teams entering all 8 Livingston Saturday series events will automatically qualify for all 3 of the Lake Series 2-day Championships. Any team qualifying for any A/Q Championship will be allowed to enter the "Tournament of Champions"on October 20-21 at Lake Falcon.

All A/Q Saturday Series events are trailoring events, this event started at 5:55 am. Livingston water was in good shape at normal pool level with water temps ranning 86-88 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 78 degrees with a warming to 90 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was real good on Livingston today as there were 24 limits brought to the scales, for a total of 127 bass at 313.02 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.46 lb.

The team of Gene Pegoda from Huntsville, Tx & Jeff Clary from Tomball, Tx ran their bass rig to the Whiterock Creek area to catch their bass throwing Tx-rigs, jigs and spinner baits in 1-5 ft of water. They managed to catch & cull several keepers to finish with 17.63 lbs. This win made them $1400.00 for their day on the water.

The team of Bobby Love from Onalaska, Tx & Jake Rowe from Livingston, Tx ran Bobby’s flat bottom aluminum bass rig to undisclosed areas to finish in 2nd with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 15.72 lbs. They had a limit in the boat by 7:30 am and then culled several more times throughout the day. Their day on the lake paid back $750.00 for their efforts.

The team of Todd Hughes from Goodrich, Tx & Craig Morris from Crosby, Tx ran Todd’s Ranger/Yamaha bass rig to south main lake areas to finish in 3rd with 15.20 lbs and collected $600.00 for their day on the water.

The team of Archie Smith from Groveton, Tx & Tony King from Montgomery, Tx ran their bass rig to several north lake creeks to catch their bass throwing Tx-rigs & jigs in 1-5 ft of water. They managed to catch and cull to 5 keepers to finish in 4th with 15.13 lbs. This made them $400.00 for their day on the water. Brian Sewell & Chip Sewell from Coldspring, Tx finished in 5th with 14.90 lbs and with the Big Bass of the event at 5.47 lbs in their sack they took home $315.00 for their day on the water. The team of Mark Finch & Jake Brewer took home the last money spot $150.00 in 6th place with 14.53 lbs. The team of Scott David & Harold Moore took 1st place out of the money with 14.32 lbs and won the 2 $15.00 Buster McNuttys gift cards and the 2 Martel’s Welding Works $25.00 off Gift Certificates towards the purchase of a Rhino Bed Liner.
