(May. 23, 2012 - Onalaska, TX)... Anglers Quest 2012 Livingston Individual Series #5 out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, Tx began this event with 8 anglers showing up to fish for the $670.00 purse. Any Individual entering 6 of the 8 of Livingston Individual Series events will automatically qualify for the 2-day Livingston Championship. The top Individual in points after all 8 events will be declared the Individual Angler of the Year and will be awarded free entries to all 2013 Livingston Individual Series events. Any Individual entering all 8 Livingston Individual series events will automatically qualify for all 3 of the Lake Series 2-day Championships. Any Individual qualifying for any A/Q Championship will be allowed to enter the "Tournament of Champions" on October 20-21 at Lake Falcon.
All A/Q Individual Series events are trailoring events, this event started at 5:55 am. Livingston water was in good shape at normal pool level with water temps ranning 86-88 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 74 degrees with a warming to 91 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was real decent on Livingston today as there were only 5 limits brought to the scales, for a total of 30 bass at 70.64 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.35 lb.
Keith Phillips from Huntsville, Tx ran his bass rig to the north mid lake creek areas to catch his bass throwing tx rigged worms & spinner baits in 0-3 ft of water. He managed to catch 7 keepers and the Big Bass at 4.20 lbs to finish in 1st place with a 5 bass sack at 13.46 lbs and made him $520.00 for his day on the water.
Michael Lawless from Willis, Tx ran his bass rig to Kickapoo creek areas to catch his bass throwing Tx rigged worms & jigs in 1-5 ft of water. He managed to catch 5 keepers to finish in 2nd place with 12.37 lbs and collected $110.00 for his efforts. Bret Rhodes received the $15.00 Buster McNuttys gift card & the Martel’s Welding Works $25.00 gift certificate towards the purchase of a Rhino Bed Liner for being 1st out of the money with 12.09 lbs.
David Marlow from Highlands, Tx finished his day in 4th with 4 bass at 11.46 lbs.
