(Apr. 12, 2012 - Lake O\' Pines, TX)... <P>Our thanks goes to Tommy Berry with Matheson Gas for pulling their cooking- barbeque trailer all the way to Lake O The Pines to feed us on Friday night. He cooked enough brisket and sausage to feed a small army! We had enough brisket left over, that we fed the anglers sandwiches Saturday after the Tournament. We had our meeting at Johnson Creek Recreations Pavilion. The weather was just right. The Message was brought by our Chaplain Robert Templin and 3 anglers rededicated their lives to Christ.
Saturday was another beautiful day to be on the water. We had 21 teams to fish and Dennis Morris & Gary Martin won their first tournament with us with 5 fish that weighed 17.39 lbs. Dennis also had big bass that weighed 6.05 lbs. They caught their fish in shallow water on Flukes and won $1126.00. Coming in 2nd place was Robby Leach & Scott Jenkins with 5 fish that weighed 14.28 lbs. They won $648.00. Taking 3rd place with 5 fish that weighed 12.13 lbs was Shawn Wildt & Tommy Renfro. They also had 2nd big bass and took home $529.00. Coming in a very close 4th place with 12.08 lbs was the Father son team, Mac & Matt McClellan. They won $227.00. The 5th place team was Christian Dean & Tray Davis. They took home $162.00 with 5 fish that weighed 12.04 lbs.
Come and join us next month on Lake Bob Sandlin. Don’t forget the $2000.00 bonus that Robert & Cherie Templin with C&R Service and Repair has put up for our last Tournament in May. You have to have fished at least 4 tournaments to be eligible to win.
