(Jan. 26, 2009 - Benson, NC)... Ray Scott, the godfather of modern bass fishing and founder of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (BASS), is now proud to endorse the state-of-the-art Twin Troller X10 from Carolina Electric Boats. Company president Frank Jones made the announcement.

"For many years, I have been passionate about what I call ’small waters,’" said Scott. "There are literally millions of fishable small lakes and ponds across this great country. And I’m pleased to know there is now a boat perfectly suited for these fishing holes, as well as regular lakes and rivers. The Twin Troller fills a niche that has long been overlooked."

Designed to take anglers where the fish are, the 10’ Twin Troller X10 is able to run in as little as 6" of water. Reaching speeds up to 6 mph, the twin MotorGuide Electric Trolling Motors are recessed to travel over submerged trees, grass and other underwater obstacles without damaging the propellers.

Scott, who uses a Twin Troller on his private lake, said, "the
closeness to the water provided by the stable, pontoon hull really enhances my fishing experience. It’s like you become one with the environment. It’s amazing where this rig can go. I have an entirely different view of my lake."

Leaving hands free to cast, the Twin Troller X10 employs innovative variable-speed foot pedals for superior maneuverability. The easy-to-operate pedals control the motors independently to transition effortlessly between forward and reverse and make 90 turns. With a 0 turn radius, the craft can even rotate 360 in one location.

"Frank Jones may be an engineer by profession, but he also understands anglers," said Scott. "He’s paid attention to every detail, from cup holders to a special storage tray for the rods and reels. And no more tall tales there’s even a built-in ruler on the hull to measure your catch."

Handling up to 585 lbs., the streamlined Twin Troller X10 fits two people comfortably. Padded swivel seats on custom, adjustable tracks offer simple removal and storage. A deep cycle marine battery under the back seat will run the boat for 6-8 hours between charges.

"The Twin Troller is highly-economical to buy and to operate," said Scott. "It’s also environmentally-friendly."

Completely recyclable, the durable, 48"-wide Twin Troller X10 is roto-molded in a single piece using Surpass polyethylene resin. Weighing just 175 lbs., the simple-to-transport fishing boat can be easily lifted into the back of any pick-up truck or trailer. With an amazing 5-year warranty, it resists cracks and is UV-protected to withstand fading.

"I would call the Twin Troller a visionary product, perfectly suited to the times," said Scott. "I predict it will not only change the way many people fish, it will also encourage more people to fish. And that’s what I’ve been trying to do for 40 years."

Available in green, blue and tan, the revolutionary Twin Troller X10 from Carolina Electric Boats has a suggested retail price of $2,295.
