Two Arkansas anglers provided a second day charge to capture the top spot in the Bass Cat Owners Invitational today, keeping the Bass Cat jinx on first day leaders alive.Terry and Jeremy Stone of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas weighed in a total of 29.28 lbs to claim a new Bass Cat Puma rigged with a new Mercury 225xs, and the 1st Place gold and diamond rings.
Challenging a field of 571 teams from across the nation proved trying for many of the anglers with water levels a little low and weather conditions challenging to say the leaset. Second place award of a new 2005 Pantera Classic was won by James Sell of Springfield, MO and his partner Kenny Cook with a weight of 25.56 lbs.
Overall Big Bass winners for the two days weighed a 5.59 pounder that was brought to the scales by Derek Hall and partner Robert Reedy. A new Gold and Diamond rings went on Derek’s finger and cash in their pocket.
A total of 1348 fish were caught, treated and released by Bass Cat and Arkansas Game and Fish personnel.
