About Brian: My name is Brian Cummings, better known as "Blue Hunter". I am from Los Angeles, Ca. It is truly an honor to be a member of the Team G3 catfish field staff. I have been catfishing for close to 30 years. I was awarded the 2006 Master Fisherman award from In Fisherman Magazine for the catch and release of an 81.5 pound blue cat from San Vicente Reservoir. I have been featured in Western Outdoor News and California Game and Fish Magazine for great catches of cats between 30-81 pounds throughout the last 10 years- also other local outdoor columns. I conduct seminars and host events for various other websites as well as my own at www.westcoastcatmasters.com.

I started WCCM to bring catfishing to a bigger forum in the west coast, also to help spread the knowledge and preservation of our sport. My primary waters are the San Diego City lakes, Colorado River, Riverside County Lakes, as well as Lake Irvine. Blues and flatheads are equally my favorite catfish to target. I also engage in salt water fishing from time to time with rockfish, white sea bass, yellowtail, halibut, and tuna being my favorite salt water fish to target.

I work in the field of education. I also believe in the release of trophy cats to ensure an adequate future for the species and preservation. Getting the kids involved in fishing is one of my primary goals in helping to promote the sport. Among other hobbies include: traveling, reading, basketball, football, dominoes, and just enjoying life and meeting new people.

I currently own a 2005 G3 V170 and have been more than satisfied with its performance on the river and lakes alike.
