A large buck faces off to challenge another rather large buck who is guarding a doe that is feeding next to him- although several challenging grumphs with raised antler threats were exchanged between the two no fight occured between them- This scene took place one early, chilly December morning with a frost beginning to settle on the ground- I had been standing behind a tree about 75 yards away for about 30 minutes to be able take this dramatic image "just" as the sun began to climb above the trees which helped to add some colorfull lighting to this wildlife scene-(8X11 color print-$35.00)- e-mail requests to
