(Jun. 10, 2009 - Lake Lavon, TX)... The First, Second and Third place winners all benefited from pre-fishing on Lake Lavon. Judy Muse, Norma Ussery and Cindy Strong all managed to get a day on the lake prior to the tournament on Saturday, June 6 and it paid off! Judy Muse finished 1st with 11.97 lbs. and Big Bass for 6.21 lbs. Norma Ussery came in Second with three fish for a total of 7.79 lbs., and Cindy Strong was Third with one big fish of 5.58 lbs. Jan Bruner also had one fish for 1.91 lbs.
For the first time in three months, we didn’t have any rain to contend with but there was a strong south wind blowing that made fishing very difficult. Add to that the boat traffic and the day was pretty tough for bass fishing. Some of us did manage to get in a little "fun fishing? when we were lucky enough to get into some schooling sand bass!
Others fishing were: Barbara Arrington, Traci Smith, Dawn March, and Uli Mueller.
