Jeremy "Grand"staff & Crystal Anderson once again finished in the top spot with over 80 CAST members competing. Their impressive bag of bass at Cedar Creek weighed 16.11 pounds. Even with temperatures hovering near the 100 degree mark Jeremy & Crystal managed to catch an enviable stringer of fish anchored by the big bass of the tournament, a 6.15 pound lunker, caught in July!!! This brother and sister team really knows bass fishing. No one can argue with their regular season total winnings of $2545.00, and add in their Skeeter "Real Money" bonuses and you have one CAST couple winning $4545.00, not including door prizes. I would say that is a great regular season, with the post season tournaments still to come!! Congratulations to Jeremy and Crystal on an outstanding season! Finishing in second place at Cedar Creek was the veteran team of Bill and Audrey Gammons. Bill and Audrey also had an excellent tournament for July with a great stringer weighing 14.66 pounds. Bill has caught some of the largest bass of the season in more than one tournament this season. He and Audrey always seem to be around where the big fish hang out! Congratulations to the Gammons! Fishing on their home lake, Butch and Cindy Scheppler finished the day in third place with a four fish stringer weighing 11.54 pounds. Plus, they moved into the TOP SIX Invitational Tournament as the sixth place qualifiers by way of this third place come from behind effort. Good Job Schepplers! The CAST Northeast Couples eligible to fish in the 2008 CAST TOP SIX Invitational Tournament on September 20th in end of season standings order are: Jeremy Grandstaff & Crystal Anderson, Allen & Robin Little, Terry & Bonnie Johnson, Steve & Trudy Smith, Davis & Diane Burden, and Butch & Cindy Scheppler. CAST Northeast couples eligible to compete as alternates in the 2008 TOP SIX Invitational Tournament in order of eligibility are: Bill & Audrey Gammons, Jared & Barbie Taylor, L.W. Buck & Joann Madding, and Steve & Debbie Heck. Congratulations and Good Luck to all of the top ten couples who qualified for participation in the TOP SIX Invitational. CAST Northeast had an excellent year setting many new standards for couple’s bass fishing.
