(Jun. 26, 2008 - Lake Bob Sandlin, TX)... CAST has been in existence for over 24 years and in that 24 year history only twice has a CAST couple taken home a huge incentive bonus for winning a regional tournament event. Both of these unprecedented accomplishments have happened during the 2008 season. The first was at Lake Bob Sandlin on April 27th when Jeremy Grandstaff and his sister Crystal Anderson won the CAST Northeast Regional tournament, the 1st place check that went with it, plus they also took home the first ever $1000.00 bonus award available to a CAST couple from Skeeter/Yamaha as part of the Skeeter Boats & Yamaha Outboards Real Money Program.

Not to be outdone in the opportunity of capturing incentives, Allen & Robin Little became the second CAST couple in 2008 to win their regional tournament in a Skeeter/Yamaha bass rig claiming the events 1st Place check plus a $1000.00 bonus from Skeeter Boats & Yamaha Outboards as registered members in the Real Money Program. Allen & Robin not only won the tournament they did it in impressive fashion by besting Jeremy & Crystal, of all people, by more than three pounds with a five fish limit weighing 17.36 pounds total. Over 88 CAST members came to Lake Tawakoni for their shot at winning under the Skeeter Boats & Yamaha Outboards Real Money Program.

Jeremy Grandstaff & Crystal Anderson finished in 2nd Place with a five fish limit weighing 14.27 pounds. They also had an unusual day to say the least. Jeremy could only fish about one hour at the outset of the tournament before having to rush off to work. Crystal, a mother of two already, had to fish for several hours alone until Jeremy could return after fulfilling his occupational obligation. To make things even more interesting Crystal is pregnant with her third child! Now that is a dedicated fishing lady! Jeremy, you are one lucky brother to have such a sister.

Making their first debut in the top three winning couples at a CAST Northeast tournament were John & Tawny Larsen in their brand new Skeeter/Yamaha boat and motor combination. John & Tawny came to the scales with an impressive bag of bass weighing 11.59 pounds to claim 3rd Place! Lake Tawakoni was definitely kind to Skeeter/Yamaha owners, with them taking the top three spots.

The couples currently eligible to represent the Northeast Region in the 2008 CAST TOP SIX Invitational Tournament are: Jeremy Grandstaff & Crystal Anderson, Terry & Bonnie Johnson, Allen & Robin Little, Jared & Barbie Taylor, Steve & Trudy Smith, and Davis & Diane Burden. These couples are separated by a total of 28 points in the standings. Eligible alternates are: Steve & Debbie Heck, L.W. Buck & JoAnn Madding, Butch & Cindy Scheppler and Jeff & Judy Baugus. The alternate couples are only 10 points out of the TOP SIX! It is going to be exciting at Cedar Creek!

We want to give a special thanks to Erbie & Carolyn Voyles for hosting the CAST Northeast couples at their home for the Tawakoni tournament. They are always gracious hosts for this event.

Our final tournament of 2008 will be at Cedar Creek Reservoir launching at the Log Cabin ramp. Registration will be at Kamman’s Exxon Motel at the intersection of FM 198 and FM 3054 in Log Cabin, TX. Please remember to e-mail our sponsors. Until Later... God Bless and Good Fishin’!
