Finishing in 2nd Place less than one half pound behind Joe & Pam were the extremely versatile team of Luther and Alice Lentz. Luther & Alice have remained at the top of the leader board all year. This time their stringer of quality Choke Canyon bass tipped the scales at 13.34 pounds. Oh so close to the win! Cliff & Brenda Davis earned 3rd Place honors with another bag less than one pound from victory. Their final weight totaled 13.02 pounds. All three of these couples have managed 1st Place finishes this year and each of them has remained very close in points. Congratulations to our top three winners. A special tribute to all the couples in the CAST Capitol Region, each couple brought a limit of Choke Canyon bass to the scales. Our sponsors, as always, furnished our couples with some wonderful gifts, we would like to take this time to list them and thank them for their continued support. The Parts Depot of Temple, Tightlines Premium Fishing Tackle, Emporium Spice, Brickwood of Texas, Chili’s of Temple, Marine Outlet, Castaway Custom Rods, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Wave Spin Reels, Skeeter Boats, Yamaha Outboards, Save Phace, Sure Life Laboratories, and Strike King Lures. Our next tournament will be our final event of the season at Lake Buchanan. We will be launching from Big Chief Resort. We will also enjoy a nice big meal following the tournament at the Pavilion, courtesy of the fine folks at Emporium Spice. After we have had time to catch our breath; we will total the points for the year and inform everyone who the 2008 CAST Classic and TOP SIX Invitational Tournament qualifiers are, as well as how each couple finished in the race for Anglers of The Year.
