Winners of this ironic tournament at Lake Fork were Bryce & Inna Reed with a total weight of 9.00 pounds even. Bryce & Inna managed to put together a good pattern for "under" the slot fish. Catching five solid "weigh-ers" put them in 1st Place for the day only .85 of a pound in front of second place. Finishing the day in 2nd Place were Erbie & Carolyn Voyles with a four fish stringer weighing 8.15 pounds. Catching just one more little 10 inch fish would have put them right there with Bryce & Inna for the win. See, catching one little tiny fish on Lake Fork can be very important. I think Erbie & Carolyn would agree! Rounding out the top three couples were Jeff & Judy Baugus in 3rd Place with 7.87 pounds and a five fish limit. Each of the fish they eventually brought to weigh-in could have been "bait" for the fish they were catching until they had to stop and catch some "legal" fish. Ironic isn’t it!!! The couples currently eligible to represent the Northeast Region in the 2008 CAST TOP SIX Invitational Tournament are: Jared & Barbie Taylor, Jeremy Grandstaff & Crystal Anderson, Jeff & Judy Baugus, Davis & Diane Burden, Steve & Trudy Smith, and Terry & Bonnie Johnson. These couples are separated by a total of 20 points in the standings. Eligible alternates are: Rayford & Diane Richman, Steve & Debbie Heck, Butch & Cindy Scheppler and Allen & Robin Little. The alternate couples are less than 14 points out of the TOP SIX! It is going to be close to the very end! Our next tournament will be at Tawakoni on June 22, 2008. Thanks to Erbie & Carolyn Voyles hosting the CAST Northeast couples, we will be having another registration/cookout at their home. Please bring a covered dish to the registration/cookout for everyone to enjoy. I expect us to call boat numbers before 6:00 am Sunday morning. Please have your boat launched and in the water before 5:30 am if possible. Weigh-in will be at the Tawakoni State Park Boat Ramp area.
