(Tuesday, March 14,2000 - Choke Canyone Reservoir, TX)... Last years regional anglers of the year made up for timelost at earlier tournaments this year by weighing the heaviest 5 fish bag of the tournament;19.61 pounds, less than one pound more than George and Carol Glasby’s close secondplace finish of 18.85 lbs. The McFarlane’s winning stringer was anchored by Roberts 6.08which was the overall big bass of the day - to be weighed in. Fishing behind a hard cold front that produced 40 mph gusts which churned the mainlakeand dropped temperatures on Saturday night, tournament day went extremely well for all.C.A.S.T. couples left the Callaham Park launch at "good light" with only a lightchop on the water. Gails of the previous day were forgotten as everyone seemed to beginboating fish on their first stops of the day.
At the scales, most reported greatest success with spinnerbaits, pumpkin lizards, wormsand some good fish being boated on Rat-L-Traps. Stump fields along creek channels,1’ to 4’ shallow flats, old tank dams and rocky points produced good fish all day.
