Jason Reyes of Huffman, TX and Jeremy Murray of Porter, TX brought their stringer to the scales with two of their five fish limit weighing over 7 pounds. They were sight fishing and flippin in 3’ of water with Big Bite Kriet Tail worms. Jason would like to give a special thanks to his sponsor H & H Rods out of Houston, TX. Their total weight 25.29 lbs, also, claimed the 1st Ranger Cup Award for $2,500 and the TIREMAX bonus, another $1,000. This brought their total pay to $6,500. Our 2nd Place team, Ronnie Wagner and Trea Luedke were fishing shallow in about 5’ of water with Lizards all day. This pattern of fishing worked well for this team. They brought 5 fish to the scales weighing 20.95 lbs. Ronnie Wagner claimed the 2nd Ranger Cup Award for $1,000. This earned the team a total pay of $2,500. Father and son team, Chip and Brian Sewell took 3rd Place honors with their limit weighing 20.59 lbs. With the water temp being around 65 degrees they only caught 5 keepers all day, fishing with Texas Rig & Jigs in scattered areas on the lake. This fine limit brought them a check for $1,100. John Thornton of Splendora, TX brought the Big Bass to the scales weighing in at 9.32 lbs. He caught this big lunker in 2’ of water on a lizard around 9:00 a.m. He, also, claimed the 3rd Ranger Cup Award for $500. He finished 11th overall with 4 fish weighing 16.53 lbs, bringing his total pay to $1,000. R & R Marine (713-805-4785) provided certificates for the first team out of the money. They received $150 off any boat rigging or repair. This went to the team of Terry Reich and Robert Thierry.
