Our 2nd place team, Tommy Mackey and Joe Marino weighed in their 5 fish limit at 26.06 lbs for $2,000 dollars. They were fishing in 20 to 25 ft of water using Carolina rigs and 1 oz jigs. Tommy stated they caught their limit between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. They were our 2nd place qualifying Ranger Cup Award winners, as well, earning them another $1,000 check. Their overall pay for catching fish on a beautiful day, in their Ranger Boat - $3,000 dollars.

The team of Jeff Jackowski and Kevin Ekdall claimed our 3rd place spot. They had 5 fish weighing 25.93 lbs earning them $1,500 dollars. Their fish were caught in 6 to 10 ft of water.

Our 4th Place team, Phillip Mattern and Paul Vollmer brought in the Big Bass of the tournament weighing 9.67 lbs for $300. Their limit of fish weighed 23.99 lbs for $1,200. They also claimed the 3rd Place Ranger Cup Award of $500, bringing their total payday to $2000. One of our sponsors, Howard Etue, with E2 Baits handed out product at our January event. Phillip liked what he saw and decided to put the E2 Bobtail Lizards to the test. They passed with winning colors, pulling in the 9.67 lb lunker, along with the other fish to claim the 4th place spot. They fished in 6 to 8 ft of water using the E2 lizards on Carolina rigs and wacky worms in 6 to 1 ft of water.
