(Jun. 11, 2007 - Lake Chicot, Lake Village, Arkansas)... The fourth tournament for the Arkansas’s Couples found 29 couples hoping that hot summer weather would make the bass bite. But with only 24 fish weighing 58.76lbs and no 5 fish limits only 14 couples weighed fish. The bass did not cooperate.
First place were Bret Hoffman and Amy Gannaway who used Norman and Bagley Square bill crank baits to weigh 3 at 8.58 lbs earning them $850.They also Qualified for an add ional $250 from Bass Cat Boats Quest program.
Second were Will and Roberta Cranston who used buzz baits and zoom crank baits to catch 7.88 for their 2nd place check for $500.
Third were Steve and Malinda Powell who had 7.60lbs they used a Carolina rig with a watermelon candy baby brush hog. They also had the lunker of 4.72 which earning them a total of $585.
