(Mar. 18, 2005 - Lacey’s Maria, Higden, Greer’s Ferry Lake, Ar)... The first tournament of 2005 for Arkansasâ��s Couples opened with temperatures of 55 at take off and 41 at weigh-in and a north east winds gusting to 20 mph. 46 couples caught 100 fish weighing 177.311lbs with 9/5 fish limit.

Royce and Regina Davis used Carolina rigged Lizards in shallow water to catch 10.65lbs to win $950 for first. They also earned $250 Quest bonus from Bass Cat Boats.

Second place were Gary and Donna Jeffery who used crank baits on main lake windy points. The 10.52 got them a $540 payday.

Third were Mike and Martha Gueringer who weighed 10.14 to earn them $450.They used a Carolina Rigged lizard in 10-15 feet of water.

Mike and Wanda Lawrence caught a 4.56 lbs lunker on a jig to earn big bass money of $215.

The next Arkansas Couples tournament will be April 24 on DeGray Lake out of Iron Mountain
