(Jun. 14, 2004 - Lake Chicot, Lake Village, AR)... The fourth tournament for Arkansas’s Couples opened with a mostly sunny day with temperatures In the 90’s. The 43 couples caught 116 fish weighing 305.82.13lbs with 8/5 fish limits.
Kevin Short of Mayflower used a custom-built square bill crank bait to net 17.82 lbs and win $930. He reported catching most around cypress trees and brush piles.
Second were David and Ashley Hargett who used a Rankin Buzz bait to capture their 15.04 lbs. The Father and Daughter team won $530.
Third were Rob Louthian and Tammie Muse who had 14.73 lbs to earn them $430. They used green pumpkin finesse worm around boat docks.
Adam and Phyllis Wright from Benton used a Lavender Shad colored Norman DLN to land a 6.62 lb lunker for $200.
The next Arkansas Couples tournament will be July 18 at Lake Dardanelle out of Russellville State Park.
