Wright’s win Arkansas Couples Again

(Apr. 11, 2004 - Lacy\'s Marina, Higden, AR)... The second tournament for Arkansas’s Couples opened with rainy-stormy skies and temperatures in the 60’s. The 48 couples caught 166 fish weighing 269.89lbs with 23/5 fish limit.

Adam and Phyllis Wright from Benton used green pumpkin Mizmo tubes sight fishing to weigh 5 fish weighing 15.91 lbs anchored by a 4.37 lunker to win a total $1210 for first and big bass. They won the Ouachita opener and now have 10 point lead in the Angler of the year race.

Second were Aubrey Johnson and Joan Craig who used a Carolina rig to catch their limit which weighed 11.60 lbs to earn them $600.

Third were Doug and Rhonda Prater of Russellville they used a spinner bait in the upper end of the lake to weigh 10.72 lbs and get $490

The next Arkansas Couples tournament will be May 23 on Lake Greeson out of the Swaha Lodge
