2009 T-MATCH SERIES RULES

1. Rule Changes/Decisions: Decisions of Anglers Quest T-MATCH Officials are final and not subject to appeal.

2. Lake Selection: T-MATCH Teams may select a lake that both Teams mutually agree upon to hold their match. Each T-MATCH pairing will also include default lakes, selected at random by Anglers Quest for each pairing. In the event that T-MATCH Teams do not mutually agree on lake selection, then a state of the art computer draw program developed by Anglers Quest for T-MATCH selection lakes will determine the lake fished. All lake disputes will be handled in this manner.

3. T-MATCH Pairings: Matches will be determined by entry number to bracket. These pairings may be obtained at www.anglers-quest.com or by calling Anglers Quest available from 9 am-9 pm daily. It is the winner's responsibility to report the completed T-MATCH results within the designated 3 week time period. Each T-MATCH is required to establish a winner. If both Teams "zero" during determined match hours, additional hours, days, or methods must be used to establish the winner. EVERY MATCH MUST ESTABLISH A WINNER!

4. Establishing Match: Each T-MATCH must be completed within the designated 3 week time period. T-MATCH Teams can obtain full pairing and default lake information online at www.anglers-quest.com or call Anglers Quest at 281-852-8842 available from 9 am-9 pm daily. In the event that T-MATCH Teams cannot establish communication within 7 days of posted T-MATCH pairings, Teams must contact Anglers Quest immediately. Upon contacting Anglers Quest, a 48-hour notice will be issued to both Teams. If communication and match details are not established during this period, the Team that fails to contact Anglers Quest and establish match play will forfeit the match.

5. Contact Information: Each T-MATCH Team is required to submit all contact information needed for pairings & communication. Contact information will be used only for the contestants participating in T-MATCH. In the event that a competitor's contact information changes, it is the sole responsibility of that contestant to update their contact information by calling Anglers Quest.

6. Competition Day/Hours: Each T-MATCH Team pairing must establish fishing hours and day of competition. There is no specified day or time when matches must occur during the established 3-week T-MATCH period. Each Team must leave from the same location and arrive at that location by the agreed upon time. Failure to arrive at the designated location and time will result in disqualification. It is each Teams responsibility to "synch" his or her watches and establish the official time by contacting Anglers Quest. Failure to establish official time will result in a forfeited match. Each T-MATCH competition must be a minimum of THREE hours. There is no maximum time limit for each event.

7. Boat Check: Each Team must verify their competitors boat for a "livewell check", and that each boat is outfitted with the required coast guard safety equipment prior to the start of the T-MATCH. Non-competitors are not permitted in a T-MATCH boat at any time during the T-MATCH competition.

8. Dead Fish: Dead fish will be assessed with a -.25 lb deduction for each dead fish in T-MATCH competition. It is each Teams responsibility to verify that all fish presented at weigh-in are dead or alive.

9. Scales: During T-MATCH competition at least one Team must possess scales capable of weighing a 5 fish limit. Prior to the start of each match Teams must agree upon ONE scale to be used for the specified competition.

10. Scoring: Only Largemouth, Spotted, Red Eye or Smallmouth Bass are accepted species. The limit will be 5 bass per Team. NO CULLING OF DEAD BASS. Any Team who possess more than the tournament limit will be disqualified and forfeit the match. Official length limits are established by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for each lake fished. It is the Teams responsibility to verify the length limits and to discuss this before their T-MATCH competition begins. Official measuring board will be the Check-It Stik. Both Teams must verify the length of their measuring boards to ensure that both boards measure identically prior to the start of their T-MATCH. During the weigh-in procedure Teams will measure/verify the length of the other T-MATCH Teams catch. Any Bass presented for weigh-in, which fail to measure the stated length limit, will result in loss of entire creel limit for that match.

11. Protests/Polygraphs: All protests must be made in writing and received by Anglers Quest within 24 hours of the completion of the T-Match. The written protest must arrive complete with cashier's check, money order or cash from BOTH Teams in the amount of $300 per team. Once the protest has been reviewed and polygraphs performed, the Team who receives the favorable outcome wins the match and will receive a full refund for $300. The Team ruled unfavorably in the match will be disqualified from the T-MATCH competition and forfeit their $300 deposit. Polygraphs must be administered within the designated three-week period of the protested match. Teams will be randomly contacted during the T-MATCH events and issued polygraphs at the predetermined tournament location. Failure to submit to the random polygraphs will result in immediate disqualification.

12. Pre-Tournament Practice: T-MATCH events have no off-limits period during the elimination rounds.

13. Permitted Fishing Locations: Teams may fish anywhere on tournament waters accessible by boat, except areas designated as "off limits" or "no fishing" by local, state/federal officials or within 50 yards of your competitor's boat which was first anchored (an anchored boat is a boat held in a stable position by a line attached to a weight with the trolling motor in the up position), or within 25 yards of non-anchored competitors boat unless otherwise agreed upon by both Teams.

14. Officials: Anglers Quest T-MATCH officials will attend numerous events during the 2009 season. When contacted by an Anglers Quest official it is the Teams responsibility to inform the official of the location, time, date, and lake the match will occur. It is solely the Teams responsibility to contact the T-MATCH official if any T-MATCH details change after being contacted by an official.

15. Participation/Eligibility: All Anglers Quest T-MATCH events are open to all anglers. Any person entering an Anglers Quest T-MATCH event under the age of 18 must also have the signature of their parent or legal guardian in the provided space on the entry form. All entries must be received by April 4th, 2009. After April 4th, 2009 no entries will be received for the duration of the 2009 season.

16. Safety: Safe boating must be observed at all times. Each contestant is required to wear a fastened, U.S. Coast Guard approved, personal flotation device anytime the boat is on plane from take off until weigh-in. A fastened life jacket is one that is either zipped or snapped completely. All boats must be equipped with an emergency ignition shut-off device, which must be securely attached to the driver's body any time the combustion engine is in operation. The driver must be seated in the driver's seat any time the combustion engine is engaged in gear.

17. Permitted Fishing Methods: All bass must be caught alive in a conventional sporting manner. Only artificial lures may be used with the exception of pork trailers. Only one fishing rod per angler may be used at any one time. Additional rods may be in the boat and ready for use; however each cast and retrieve must be completed before another cast or rod is used. Trolling with the combustion engine as a method of fishing is prohibited. Switching or sharing fish with other individuals will result in immediate disqualification. All angling must be conducted from the boat. At no time may a contestant leave the boat to land a fish or to make the boat more accessible to fishing waters.

18. Sportsmanship and Conduct: All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, and conservation and to conduct themselves in a manner that will be a credit to themselves, to Anglers Quest sponsors, the sport of fishing and Anglers Quest. Examples of conduct not complying with those standards include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Consumption and/or possession of alcoholic beverages or any mind-altering substance during Match hours. 2) Abuse of, or addiction to, mind altering substances, 3) Conviction of a felony within the past 36 months, 4) Any other words, conduct or actions reflecting unfavorably on Anglers Quest tournaments or the sponsors of those tournaments or reflecting unfavorably upon efforts to promote safety, sportsmanship, fair competition and compliance with Match rules. If conduct does not comply with the standards set forth, Anglers Quest, its director shall have the right to refuse any application, or to deny a confirmed application, by returning the entry fee of a previously accepted application, or disqualify a contestant.

19. Boat Operation: During the T-MATCH competitions, contestants may not receive assistance from non-competitors, follow a non-competitor's boat or participate in the practice of "hole sitting" or the placing of markers by non-competitor. The use of mobile communication devices such as cellular phones, marine radios, walkie-talkies, CBs, etc., to communicate fishing information during established Match hours is strictly prohibited. When possible, it is advised that T-MATCH team contestants share cell phone numbers during their match in the case of rule clarifications, breakdowns, or emergencies.

20. Boat and Horsepower Regulation: Each boat must have all required U.S. Coast Guard safety equipment. Boats must contain a properly aerated live well space to maintain alive a limit catch of bass. Maximum horsepower for all outboards used in Match competition may not exceed the horsepower limitations as set by the U. S. Coast Guard. By signing the entry form, each contestant agrees to submit his or her boat and/or motor to an inspection. Falsifying information on entry forms or altering the horsepower numbers on the motor or rating plate will be cause for disqualification from the tournament and may result in future ineligibility to enter any Anglers Quest tournaments. No team may have a platform, raised deck, or ladder, which is higher than the gunnel of his or her boat. Standing on the fishing seats or outboard motor will not be allowed in Anglers Quest events.

21. Trailering: Trailering is allowed if both T-MATCH teams agree to do so before the start of their T-MATCH event. Once the T-MATCH has begun, no trailering will be allowed unless previously agreed upon. When trailering, both Teams are still required to establish an official check in location and time.

22. The T-MATCH team winner and runner-up team will qualify for "Tournament of Champions".
