(Oct. 19, 2009 - Lake Houston - Huffman, TX)... Anglers Quest 2009 Tuesday Series Championship is now in the books, and the Tuesday Houston Series is complete for 2009. The event began on Friday evening with the presentation of the special A/Q Goal Post to the Anglers of the Year team of Jason Reyes & Waylon Hull. They will receive free paid entries to all A/Q Tuesday Series Events in 2010. The Calcutta Auction followed and sold teams from $55 to $615 and raised $6040.00 to add to the anglers pot. As at all A/Q Championships, there were 17 American Rodsmiths Limit Stix rods auctioned off to raise $ for the upcoming Tournament of Champions on Lake Bob Sandlin.

Lake Houston water was a little off color from the recent rains and approximately normal pool level. The weather was really nice with a lot of sunshine with a steady 5-10 mph north breeze on both days of the event as low 50’s at daybreak to mid 70’s during the days greeted the anglers.

As Day 1 got underway with the playing of "The National Anthem", the 25 qualified teams took off into the dim morning light at 7:00 am going for the $14,095.00 purse which was the payback by Anglers Quest at this Tuesday Championship event.
