(Sep. 28, 2009 - Lake Livingston, TX)... Anglers Quest 2009 Livingston Saturday Series Championship is now in the books, and the Saturday Series for Lake Livingston is complete for 2009. The event began on Friday evening with the presentation of the special " Anglers Quest Goal Post" to the new "2009 Anglers of the Year", Morgan Burton & Randy McAdams, they will receive free paid entries to all A/Q Livingston Saturday Series Events in 2010. The Calcutta Auction followed and sold teams from $60 to $500 and raised $7700.00 to add to the anglers pot. As at all Anglers Quest Championship auctions, there were 10 Limit Stix American Rodsmiths rods auctioned off to raise $ for the "Tournament of Champions" coming up at Lake Bob Sandlin in November.

The weather was cloudy on Saturday and clear on Sunday with mid 60’s at daybreak to low 90’s during the day with a light southerly breeze for both days of the event on Lake Livingston. As Day 1 got underway with the 30 qualified teams taking off into the dim morning light from their choice of launch ramps around the lake at 6:50 am. The anglers were all going for the $19,210.00 purse that was the payback by Anglers Quest at this Championship event. The water at Lake Livingston was changing to muddy water conditions from all the recent rains and was at approximately 1/2 ft above normal pool level. On day 1 the 30 teams brought in 21 limits of bass, 131 fish that totaled 316.62 lbs with a 2.41 avg. Day 2 produced 17 limits 115 fish-285.22 lbs and a 2.48 avg.
